I want to go to the beach tomorrow. 'Nuff said. Here are some great bikini trends to keep an eye out for.
1. Fringe - A super fun detail and great for small-chested ladies like me.
2. Retro - Mad Men anyone? High-waisted bottoms and sweetheart necklines can also create the illusion of curves.
3. Geometric - Bold a sporty. Plus, you can use color blocking to fake a perfect figure.
No joke, I had a dream last night that I was cruising around a store filled with beautiful clothes with feminine details like peter pan collars, ruffles, and lace. Don't get me wrong, I love combat boots and motorcycle jackets as much as the next girl, but sometimes, I just want to feel pretty.
We had some amazing 80 degree weather last weekend. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the beach, but now I'm already in summer mode. The most essential summer accessory? Sunglasses! And while I'm a fan of the Wayfarer, I'd rather have some standout shades. Even jeans and a t-shirt get an instant fashion update with these unique sunglasses.
Have you heard about this new "trend" called meggings? They're leggings for men. Ya, you heard me right, leggings for men. I had no idea there was even a market for these, but they are in fact real. Apparently they've been around since 2009 when leggings were first becoming popular for women. It actually started when Russel Brand was seen in a pair of women's leggings in 2008, and who doesn't want to look like him? I don't know anyone else who would be caught dead in these (besides Conan O'Brien), but hey, if any guy out there has the confidence to wear these, more power to him.
I have a gray cardigan from Express that I've literally worn to death. I've had to patch three holes in it and it's looking rough. It's long past time to get a new one, but I haven't been able to find one that's just right. I want a v-neck, boyfriend cardigan that's slim and light enough to layer. Is that too much to ask? Express has a similar style out this season, but I'm not sure how I feel about the pockets. I'll have to check it out soon though because everything is 40% off this weekend! I'm also liking the one from Old Navy boyfriend cardi which is on sale right now for $20. Of course Gap is always great for classic pieces and then then there's always Target. Which on is your favorite?
Through Pinterest, I found a link to a website called Sammy Dress. Everything is unbelievably cheap and actually pretty stylish once you sift through some of the extra trendy stuff. I recently bought a pair of khaki leggings for only 6.16 plus flat rate shipping which was about $5. It took nearly a month to get here, but I can justify the wait with how cheap it was. Besides, it did come all the way from China.
Anyway, last week on Outblush, one of my favorite blogs, I saw this "Slim White Lace Dress" for $33 and thought it looked extremely familiar. Thanks to my incredible online shopping spidey-sense, I recognized it from Sammy Dress where they have the exact same dress for only $7.78! With flat rate shipping, your total would still only come out to 12.99. Who knows where the dress is really coming from, but both websites are using the exact same pictures, so chances are it's the exact same dress.
Moral of the story, check Sammy Dress before you buy something or buy things from Sammy Dress because it's cheaper, or only buy cheap clothes...I don't know what the moral of the story is. Just have fun shopping at Sammy Dress...
I've been watching this jacket for a long time, and it's finally on sale! It's 30% off, making it only $61.60 and Express has promotional coupons all the time. I already have a knit moto jacket from Forever 21, but this one kind of looks like an old leather jacket and is also a tad bit metallic. Yes and yes!
Has anyone noticed that it's suddenly fall in Los Angeles? It's actually supposed to be back to the 80's this weekend, but I'm already pulling out my sweaters, scarves and leggings. Besides leather tees, Burgundy is another hot trend for fall and these faux leather leggings are only $10.50 at Forever 21! I love mixing burgundy with gray and black but it's super versatile and goes surprisingly well with a royal blue. Ah I love fall!

Does anyone else remember the Friends episode with Ross's leather pants? Yea, leather used to be weird, and now it's everywhere. Leather pants, dresses, and even t-shirts. I think it's pretty cool and have wanted leather pants since high school. I'm not sure about the leather t-shirt thing, but I'm totally digging the leather button down. What do you think?
PS. Has anyone else noticed that "vegan" leather, a.k.a. "pleather" is also cool now?

Yesterday was my birthday! Now that all the birthday festivities are over, I just feel old. That's a lie. I'm not that old, and the birthday festivities are far from over! My birthday present to myself this year were these Nine West 'Magic' boots. I've been wanting plain, black, high-heeled boots for the longest time, (I actually think I wrote a post about it a while back) and I finally found these on an impromptu trip to DSW a couple of months ago. They're the perfect height and are actually comfortable. I wore them all over Santa Monica last night. I'm so happy with them that I'm hoping they'll still have my size in brown when they go on sale! Finding them online in my size was impossible, so if you want to pick up a pair, I guess DSW is your best bet. Good luck!
